Fail & Epic Fail

Woke up to about 4 inches of snow this morning. Tree limbs, cars, the ground...everything coated in a blanket of fluffy white. It was beautiful. Luckily the state had the foresight to salt the roads yesterday before the snow started so by this morning the roads were completely clear and surprisingly dry.

I had an agenda for today. I planned to go to Sam's Club to buy a few things then head over to Wal-Mart for drapes and windshield wipers for my sister's car.

After cleaning the snow off the cars I headed for Sam's. As I'm heading down 301 nearing the I-95 overpass I see a group of people standing near the guardrail. There are cars parked on both sides of the highway and I wasn't sure what was going on so I slowed down as I approached. What did I see? People were jumping the guardrail and sledding down the snow covered embankment off the overpass! It looked simultaneously like so much fun and such a bad idea!

I got a few things at Sam's and remembered, as I was leaving, that I needed paper towels. I went to Wal-Mart determined to find drapes for the dining room. After about an hour of looking through all the colors and fabrics and styles I actually found a style I really liked. I was looking on the back of the package to see how many panels I would need and then I realized...I never measured for drapes before heading out to buy them. Fail!

I did find some curtains for another window that I liked but they were too short. Annoyed at having wasted an hour I decided to head home.

That's right. Did I get the other items I set out to get? No. When did I realize this? As I was pulling into the driveway. Epic Fail
