Has spring sprung? - 08 March 2003 . 16:58
It is SUCH a beautiful day out, much to my surprise. While at work last night I witnessed the temperature taking a steady nose dive (I go outside at regular intervals to smoke and my weather comments went from, "Sure is chilly out," to "MAN IS IT FREEZING OUT!") Figuring it was going to be yet another disappointing day outdoors I went to sleep directly after getting home from work. I was awakened by sunlight, birds chirping and the sense of spring on the other side of the wall. Sure enough as I ventured to the door I was blinded by the beautiful weather. I hate I missed it since the day is basically gone now but tomorrow's forecast is calling for another warm sunny day.
My fingers shall remained crossed for good weather. If it's nice out I'll clean and air out all the area rugs and blankets on the clothesline.
Sorry for the lack of updating lately. 10 hours overtime last week, 9 hours overtime this week...it all boils down to no time for anything but sleep.
Yeah, and every time I DO have a chance to update the server is busy or only available to Gold/SuperGold members. (hehe…Goldmember…)
Amazingly, there's really nothing to report. Well, except my step-sister and her latest predicament.
She's been living with Grandma and she's about to get the big boot out the door. This is the same child that's been booted out of everywhere. She has two options right now...move to Louisiana and live with her mother (the incarnate of evil) or live in her car. Now, it might sound heartless but Grandma gave her plenty of time to straighten up and meet the rules of the house. But the hard-headed girl blatantly refused. I guess she figured it was never going to happen.
So I have some guilt here. I realize I'm not repsonsible in any way for her predicament but I do have two extra bedrooms in this house. She has not asked me to stay here nor have I offered but the thought of her living in her car leads me to think about all the terrible things that could happen to her, and I know I'd feel bad if something actually did happen. However, where do you draw the line? I mean she was here for a while before and had absolutely no gratitude or respect for my wishes. I don't want to go back there again...
Everything else is fine...amazingly.
