Dinner and a Movie? - 12 January 2003 . 00:49 Drinking: Mountain Dew Watching: Psycho kitty in her peaceful slumber Listening to: Nothing because psycho kitty has taken my stereo remote hostage Today was a good day. Actually I should say that nothing about today was exceptional and that's why it was a good day. Nothing strange or detremental, nothing out of the ordinary. Just a day. Got home from work this morning and waited for 3 hours for my Dad to call so we could go antiquing. He never called. I finally fell alseep on the couch with the phone beside me at 10 am. I woke up at 5:30 am when the phone rang (it was on the floor) and Kitty was sleeping on my back. When the phone rang I, not realizing Kitty was on my back, jumped a bit and, subsequently, Kitty jumped as well. However, Kitty's idea of jumping is a bit different than mine. It involves claws and pain.... Anyway, it was Dad calling to see if I wanted to come over for dinner. I was a bit apprehensive since his girlfriend would be there. (His girlfriend and I do not set horses well at all!) I figured what the hell though and went anyway. We ended up watching a movie after dinner called "Signs." It's got Mel Gibson and some dude related to River Phoenix in it. It was pretty good. Strange and creepy and a tad scary, but pretty good. I mean, anything with Mel in it....~drools~ I ended up getting home around 11:50...I was supposed to hang out with my buddy Chad but after I called him we agreed it was better to make it another night, which isn't a problem since I'm off work until Thursday. Yep...Thursday....sounds like a long time but it's truly NOT. Anyhow, I'm trying to talk Chad into becoming a member of Diaryland. He said he's thinking about it. He is about 50 times a better writer than I and said he may use his online journal for writing fiction. And if he sets it up and uses it ya'll will be obliged to check it out. Not just because you love me and all but because he's one helluva fiction writer and when he's a rich, famous, best-selling author ya'll can say, "Hey, I read that dood's stuff when he was on Diaryland..." Think I'll go check the news websites and see what's been goin' on in the world while I was getting my sleep on today. The website for our quasi-local news (Fayetteville) is this site. It is kind of low-rent (can't bash it too much, it's the paper Chad works for...but he don't write the junk, he just does the kewl graphics...hehe) While low-rent, it's still infinitely better than our true local newspaper which has a website so truly lame that I can't bear to post the link on this page. haha
My most gracious thanks to my lovely sister, who's site can be found here. Without her I never woulda figured out how to do these little linky thingys...Love ya girl.
