Ain't too proud to beg... - 18 January 2003 . 14:44 Listening to: Billy Joel's Greatest Hits Billy Joel, my all time favorite musician, is putting on a concert not too far away from me on March 16th. The opening act is none other than Elton John. (Is that Sir Elton John??) Oh how I'd love to be there! Actually I don't think I can afford to sit in the bathroom at the stadium and listen through the wall. About the most I can afford is to drive by the stadium on the night of the concert, roll down my window and see if I can hear anything. ha ha. So, if you find yourself with some extra foldin' money and want to get rid of it, or do an extremely good deed, please feel free to go to ticketmaster.com and buy me a ticket. Hey, people use their diaries to ask for cold hard cash...all I want is a concert ticket. And I'm not too proud to beg... Okay, back to reality now. Oh happy day!! It's Saturday and I have to work. It's all good though because tonight is a s-l-o-w night at the hog plant. Not many loads of pork or assorted pig parts go out on Saturdays. Or Sundays. So for the next two nights I will be chillin' at work with not too much going on...always a good thing. I am currently reading my 3rd book of the new year. I decided to keep an ongoing list for 2003. So far I've read: 1. John Adams (a pretty bad ass biography) 2. The Kennedy Tapes: Inside the White House during the Cuban Missle Crisis (transcription of the actual tapes with historical notes) 3. Founding Brothers (an overview of the revolutionary generation of America....pretty good) Since I know all of you have a burning desire to keep up with what I read, I'll post the updated list from time to time.
